Dragon Street Cats

We're currently working to TNR cats along Dragon Street and in the surrounding Design District.

If a cat is too feral to be adopted, we release them back where they were trapped. Removing a cat from a familiar place can often be a death sentence. Usually, they'll become lost trying to navigate through dangerous territory in an attempt to find their way back to where they came from.

If a cat is found in a hazardous, high-traffic area, we can try to relocate them to a better area. However, this usually takes at least 2 weeks of being safely kenneled outdoors at the new spot.

TNR (Trap, Neuter & Return)

The biggest challenge to overcome in North Texas is finding fosters to care for adoptable cats. Little experience is needed for teen and adult cats, but kittens usually require a bit more knowledge.

How to help

Fostering

Show us your cats!

If you know of regular cats in the community or see a new one show up, go ahead and let us know. Texting a pic will be a great help too, especially if you see kittens..! The sooner we can catch kittens and socialize them the better chance they'll have of getting adopted into a great home.

Consider donating

Most of our activities cost us a little bit of money. Over time, these expenses usually add up to more than we expected. Traps, food, medical care, and shelters are always the most expensive... There are a few regional orgs that cover spaying and neutering but there are daily limits and backlogs. Sometimes we just have to pay out of pocket to get a cat fixed. Any donations to help cover these costs would be greatly appreciated.
